DVSA Coronavirus (COVID-19) guidance for Driving Instructors and Students for Practical and Theory Tests

You should still go for your driving or theory test, unless you, someone you live with, your instructor or someone they live with have coronavirus symptoms. Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It’s caused by a virus called coronavirus. The symptoms are:

YOU MUST NOT GO TO YOUR DRIVING TEST OR THEORY TEST IF YOU HAVE TO STAY AT HOME, YOUR TEST WILL NOT GO AHEAD IF YOU HAVE THESE SYMPTOMS.This applies to all types of theory tests, driving tests and approved driving instructor (ADI) standards checks. Cancel or rearrange your test if you have coronavirus symptomsYou need to cancel or rearrange your test if you have coronavirus symptoms. You will be able to do this free of charge, even if it’s at short notice. How you do this depends on when your test is.
